Weiter geht es heute mit Episode 7 unseres Soultunes Podcast. Diesmal erstellt von Martin Hayes aus Leipzig, dürfen wir uns über eine liebevoll geplante Exkursion durch die Gefilde von Disco House mit so einigen restaurierten Sehenswürdigkeiten zurückliegender Dekaden und zeitgenössischen Hommagen freuen. Bisher mit Beiträgen auf Labels wie Mancha Recordings, LH Edits, Etui Records und Remixen auf Foul & Sunk, Break the Surface und Koax Records, führte Martin Hayes eigene Reise durch Deepness und Disco hin zu dem Entschluss mit 4 Freunden das Label Rose Records zu gründen. Seit der ersten Veröffentlichung 2011 wird so die Fahne des modernen Disco Sounds in Leipzig hoch gehalten und durch die Musik von Martin Hayes, Luvless und M.ono weiter getragen. Das Konzept jeder EP vermittelt dabei recht schön die Verbundenheit zum Medium Vinyl als etwas Besonderes, warmen Grooves und natürlich ihrer Gruppe, da bisher jede Katalognummer als kollektive Various Artists EP mit jeweils einem Titel der drei Produzenten in handgestempelter und auf 250 Stück limitierter Auflage erschien. Mir als großem Vinylliebhaber ist es jetzt natürlich nicht möglich die Erwähnung zu vermeiden, dass die Nummer drei gerade frisch gepresst wurde und wer sich jetzt beim Hören des Podcasts und Lesen dieser Zeilen dabei erwischt neugierig geworden zu sein, soll ruhig mal bei Rose Records reinhören. Compiled by Martin Hayes from Leipzig our 7th Soultunes Podcast leads us through the lands of disco. We'll see the hills of retroverted funk and the lakes of 80's warmth as well as contemporary buildings with that certain approach that is familiar to the nature of downtempo grooves. Martin Hayes as a traveller through deepness and disco has already had some stops at labels like Mancha Recordings, LH Edits, Etui Records, Foul & Sunk, Break the Surface and Koax Records. By now his journey led him to found the Leipzig based label Rose Records together with four friends. Their own output always shows a common theme that propably can be summarized as love for vinyl, affinity to warm grooves and fellowship. Yet every release on Rose Records is a Various Artists EP each with one track by labelmembers Martin Hayes, Luvless and M.ono as handstamped vinyl that is limited to 250 copies. Now me as a vinyl lover can't resist to mention that EP number three is ready to go this month and for everybody who might recognize an upcoming curiosity by listening to the podcast and reading through the lines I recommend to give Rose Records a listen.
